Programs and Volunteer Coordinator
La Quinta Arts Foundation &
California Desert Arts Council, LLC.
August 2017 - June 2019
-
In my time at La Quinta Arts Foundation and California Desert Arts Council, I managed the volunteer and community programs in a six-person organization. Our major fundraiser was an arts festival where I was responsible for a $5,000 budget to create a recruitment and recognition program for volunteers. I decreased the average volunteer age by 5% at our festival and community programs in the first year. I was the right-hand for our events manager and coordinated pre/post event logistics, operations, and volunteer management for an annual four-day fundraising festival averaging 5,000 people per day.
- This role allowed me to showcase my creativity and design skills by helping design festival maps, marketing collateral, and commemorative T-shirts for the festival.
